Some recipes aren’t just meals. They’re memories.
Pork Chops Roma is one of those treasured oldies in my kitchen. My late sister-in-law shared this recipe with me in the early nineties, and from the very first simmer, it became a family staple. It fed busy weeknights, growing kids, and countless “what’s for supper?” evenings when I needed something simple, reliable, and comforting.
It’s wonderfully easy to make, uses everyday ingredients, and fills the kitchen with a savory, homey aroma that still takes me right back to those early years of motherhood.
Now, years later, this is one of the few recipes my daughter specifically asked me to put on the blog. That alone tells me it deserves its place in Kimberley’s Kookbook. Simple. Nostalgic. And pretty yummy.

This is a true passed-down family classic and perfect for busy weeknight dinners.
Simmer low and slow to keep the pork chops tender.
If you’d like extra sauce for serving over noodles, add an additional half-can of water.
Leftovers reheat beautifully the next day.
Center-cut pork chops work best for tenderness.
Serve over egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes.
